If we could get a guy like CGJ, Adrian Amos, Jordan Poyer, John Johnson or Julian Love today as Vonns replacement I gotta say it would make me a lot more comfortable going into the draft than I would if we needed a safety.

Lets not get it twisted, Wilson might have been the most sacked, but thats only because Justin Fields saved his OLine by avoiding 20-30 sacks by scrambling for first downs, TDs, positive plays.... which in turn makes the OLine loook better on paper. Carolina's defense just keeps getting better. New DC, new scheme with 2 nice additions, still need another Edge Rusher and some depth/better luck with injuries. The offense is hopefully about to take a step forward with a QB (either this season or next if they need time to develop), and when they do then the defense will be there ready to let the team play some true complimentary football.

GM Chris Ballard has two glaring things to fix: 1. the offensive line, which allowed 60 sacks last season (second to Denver), and 2. the receivers, both wide and tight end. Yes, it's great that Michael Pittman did OK, and Alec Pierce had a good (not great) rookie season, but Colts' fans will tell you the WR room needed a veteran anchor. They could even have brought back T.Y. Hilton -- their own guy -- but Ballard was stubborn and paid for it. Now fix it by getting Adam Thielen or OBJ. Do something!
