Crazy how much Leaf has turned his life around, good for him.
16 дней назадBrad Seltzer +4
@David Iezzi he turned over a new leaf
15 дней назадDavid Iezzi +6
Some could say he turned a new Leaf.
16 дней назадTAR ICO +14
Oh yeah, he's all turned around. I would not question his predictions. It's just better to not disagree with this guy. Yeah, he's turned over a new leaf.
16 дней назадsjwalker1973 +180
The more I see Ryan Leaf has turned his life around, the better I like him. He has taken accountability for what he did when he was playing. People need to learn from their mistakes.
16 дней назадQueitn
Listen to his podcast bust
9 дней назадUnlimited Power +2
I think part of it is also growing up. A lot of 21 year olds handed big money and celebrity are often not fully prepared for it at that age
11 дней назадKent +16
The more I see Ryan Leaf the more impressed I am by his down to earth takes. We need more of him.
12 дней назадDave +22
Ryan Leaf is so good as a pundit. He was amazing filling in for Rich Eisen on his show.
13 дней назадFF Forsyth +73
I love seeing Ryan Leaf, and the FACT that he has come back...That says everything you want to know about him...Love ya Big Guy...
16 дней назадHT Cha +67
I am loving the Ryan Leaf Redemption Arc.
16 дней назадMax +49
Hot damn, 62 different starting QBs? Makes the fact that Geno started 100% of his snaps last season more impressive
16 дней назадMichael Hood +11
I’m so stoked to see R. Leaf get a second chance at redeeming his name in the NFL circle and not just being known as a joke for the rest of time.
16 дней назадarmuk
was a real pos in the nfl.. got a long way to go to redemption
5 дней назадjmeryllman
I love Ryan Leaf's redemption arc. His self-awareness and humility is very refreshing.

always great to here/see Ryan Leaf around the nfl draft time, considering the rollercoaster of a life hes had. Very insightful and seems to have found his place in broadcasting/commentating
11 дней назадStephen Di Domenico +11
I love listening to Ryan. There are many detractors who want to point at his failures and dismiss him. People aren''t failures because they have failed. They are failures when they don't learn from them. Ryan has dealt with his crap. If you listen to him long enough, you will see a broken man who has risen from his fall and acknowledged his shortcomings. He has incredible insight into the game, the and the psychological challenges facing young players today and is really good at articulating his rationale. I want to see more of this man.
15 дней назадJon Schlosser +1
Damn, Ryan Leaf got awesome over the years. I love this segment. Candid, real, insightful, stats, guy has everything you want
11 дней назадWesley Blanton +16
So many people could learn from Ryan Leaf!
16 дней назадArkade +3
Ryan Leaf is the MAN !!! Amazing what growing up does for a person!
13 дней назадwkyken +2
Ryan obviously moved east for a reason. I know he has a podcast, but someone is going to nab him for a big show and contract. I really admire him, and he is very well spoken. He's a QB analyst for the thinking man, and he's BEEN there. I'm a fan and love the way he took control of his life again. All the best, Ryan.
14 дней назадJames Wampler +1
The little poke at himself shows how far Ryan Leaf has come as a man. Good to see his rebound
11 дней назадEddie Parker
This is so nice 👍! To have Ryan Leaf BACK in The NFL for ANY REASON is 👍!! He did a lot for underprivileged men "while away"!! He grew up to be a mentor & inspired others!
10 дней назадLaurent Desmet
So genuine and spot on. RL is one of my favorite Football personalities.

Ryan brings a bit of levity and logic to this craziness I love his analysis of the kid from Florida and Kentucky.
9 дней назадWookietoots +1
Im impressed with Leaf.....he seems like he would be a great commentator, mentor or even coach' you can learn alot from a guy who lost everything only to be reborn'
14 дней назадMarcus N.
So happy Ryan got his life together! What an amazing example of perseverance drug addiction is no joke!
10 дней назадmostlyskeptic +1
Man how different the NFL world would be if the Ryan Leaf of today was back in 1998. He had the talent but like he said the maturity wasn't there. I'm glad it didn't make him bitter. Hope he has sucess.
12 дней назадTha Gamez Ova
Ryan Leaf is good at his job. I look forward to more from him
7 дней назадAnthony Izquierdo +10
His take on Anthony Richardson is without a doubt the best take I’ve heard anyone in the media have. He hit the nail on the head! I wish more people would listen to him about something he clearly knows about first hand!
15 дней назадAnthony Izquierdo +1
@Dr Doom no. He doesn’t know everything. And no one can predict the future. But everything he said is true. The tape is awful. Dozens of nfl GM’s don’t have a first round grade on this kid cause they shouldn’t. But teams at the top are desperate and that is where people are put into situations to fail. And if Richardson is asked to start from day 1. He will fail.
15 дней назадDr Doom
yes because he knows everything. He's articulate but no one knows how these prospects will turn out.
15 дней назадPirate Hunter Reviews +7
Always love seeing Ryan Leaf on here
16 дней назадUnlimited Power +1
I’ve had this feeling for awhile that Levis and Richardson are not top 5 pick caliber but both the media and the quarterback neediness of teams in those picks, they would be probably second half of the first round or later. I think they could turn out to be good picks, but I think there is a lot of uncertainty
11 дней назадSamuel Williams
Ryan nailed it. Anthony Richardson needs a place where he can come along slowly.
9 дней назадMichael Lalli
Love hearing from Ryan Leaf.
12 дней назадRocket Dude
Leaf could have been one of the greats had it not been for his own issues and a ton of pressure.

I f-ing love Ryan Leaf as an analyst! Top notch insight.

So awesome to see Ryan leaf speak about himself then , #props
12 дней назадUntapped Potenial +17
If I was Mike White, the Jets should’ve made me the starter. I understand him wanting to leave. He left everything on the field for them and was way better than Zach Wilson
16 дней назадNoctem
@Untapped Potenial sucks to see him go as a jets fan, he was probably one of the best backups in the league, aside from maybe Brissett and the whole SF circus. Hope he sees success (but not too much success, you’ll never catch me dead wishing the Fins well)
16 дней назадUntapped Potenial +1
@Noctem obviously you’re right technically 😂 I just thought it was a little dirty by the jets but business is business. Now he can be a high paid backup in Miami and enjoy the beach
16 дней назадNoctem +1
@Untapped Potenial that was some grit I’ll agree, but that might have just been too little too late
16 дней назадUntapped Potenial +2
@Noctem I agree but I just think he showed them a lot of heart and talent and determination, watching him play the game Vs Buffalo late last year really sold me on him
16 дней назадNoctem +8
He was still 1-3 as a starter. Mike wasn’t necessarily bad, but you can tell that Zach was playing at his floor and Mike was playing closer to his ceiling
16 дней назадRobert Harris +16
Mike White wanted out on the jets? Interesting
16 дней назадCary Rumley
Sick to see him looking healthy and still doing something with football! Kind of hilarious to have him talking about first round draft picks though lololol.
16 дней назадAnthony Izquierdo +2
I mean. He clearly has first hand experience and these kids should listen to what he has to say. Clearly he’s shown growth and maturity he lacked back then and sometimes learning what not to do is just as important as learning what to do. I thought his analysis of Anthony Richardson was spot on unlike most of the national media.

Ryan Leaf may not have been a legend QB but he didn't say woe is me. That experience must have humbled him greatly to the point of ultimate reflection.
11 дней назадSteven Burch +4
Red zone alert he wasn't able to be used in CIN as a red zone threat because he had so many other great weapons around him but in CAR he will be a big threat in the red zone and a security blanket on third down for our young rookie QB I love it here in CAR CAR 🚨🚨🚨
16 дней назадJon Smith
Damn I can't believe how many qbs got hurt last year especially the way the refs protected them
13 дней назадJonathan Flynn
I like his development as a human. That said, Contract 1A was HOF, Contract 1B was Hall of Bust. Leaf must thank the heavens for Zach Wilson.
15 дней назадmostlyskeptic
Jamarcus Russell came first and was far worse as well as a more can't miss prospect. The guy was 6'6" had 70% completion rating at LSU and had a rocket launcher for an arm. Literally the only thing that held back Russell was Russell. Leaf was something similar (although not the same athlete of course). He had the talent but he didn't have the right mentality same as Russell.
12 дней назадSean Bailey +2
Leaf knows a bust when he sees one, real knows real.

The number of quarterbacks started just goes to show that the draft is not a sure thing. Because they talk about it every year that there’s four or five franchise quarterbacks if that was the case no team would need a quarterback.

16 дней назадHow Dare You Exist
go dig up some old media from 97-98. leaf was seriously debated over manning for the number 1 pick, like there was close to an even split of people thinking so.
12 дней назадAbner Williamson
Peyton Manning's passer rating averaged 17% higher than the league average passer rating over his career. You know who averaged 15% better than the league average over his career? Tom Brady. Peyton Manning during his best years outperformed Tom Brady and everyone knew it. Tom just had a better team around him. Peyton was a once in a lifetime pick. His draft stock was through the roof. He was perfect across the board. Ryan Leaf having a strong ass arm wasn't even relevant. No team, no matter who had the #1 overall pick or how deep their QB room was, would even consider passing up the arguable GOAT draft pick that was Peyton Manning. Tom Brady was a "he probably will work out" pick. Manning was a "he's going to work out, nobody can doubt it, take him no matter what, he's the best draft pick we've ever seen or ever will see" draft pick.
16 дней назадLester Combs +3
Back then it was true. I thought Leaf had a stronger arm.

14 дней назадno no again
How many story arcs will leaf have
16 дней назадJim Parker +2
Leaf is right about Richardson, but not for his reason. Richardson's completion percentage absolutely reeks in the low 50's percent. That's in college, folks, where future undrafted WRs can get open on a regular basis. The NFL demands a QB with almost supernatural passing talent. That's like the number one requirement. Bernie Kosar was a lousy athlete, but a great passer. Star in the NFL. Meanwhile, the league has seen tons of great athletes fail at QB because they just couldn't complete enough passes. Sad to say it looks like Richardson is another one of those guys. If you don't show that talent by the time you reach college, it ain't gonna happen.
16 дней назадAnthony Izquierdo
@Formula Energy of course athleticism matters. The days of statues back there who can’t run and escape the pocket are long gone. You’re right. You want your guy to be able to move around and have some athleticism. For sure. But that can’t be it. They still have to be able to throw the ball. With touch. With accuracy. 3 steps and rip. 5 steps and rip. Read a defense. Go through progressions. Identify the coverage at the line of scrimmage. Athleticism is just one piece of the pie. Richardson sure. He’s got the best piece of the athleticism pie. But his piece of everything else leave a lot to be desired that can’t be made up with athleticism. Lamar can throw. He has touch. He has a long ball. He completed over 60% of his throws in college. Made his team better and won a heisman. Cam completed 64% of his passes in college. Took an 8-5 team the year prior on an undefeated run to the national championship and won. The team went 8-5 again the next year. He made everyone around him better. Richardson struggled. Florida had a losing record last year. His completion percentage of 53.8 would be the worst of a first round qb in over 30 years. Athleticism can’t make up for that.
15 дней назадFormula Energy
The NFL has changed a lot since Bernie Kosar's time. We have 275lb defensive ends running 4.3 Forty's now, and I say this is the reason you need an athlete at QB today because few offensive linemen can keep up with that kind of a defensive end, and it is the reason Joe Burrow has not won a Superbowl yet, as his athletic ability is wanting yet Patrick Mahomes has won Superbowls in a large part due to his ability to get off and run.
15 дней назадAnthony Izquierdo
@Roshan yep. Watched him miss throws constantly. His accuracy is atrocious and if he’s drafted in round 1 his completion percentage would be the lowest by any first round pick in the last 30 years. Let that sink in. Leaf is 100% correct. If Richardson is a week 1 starter for any team this year it will be a complete disaster.
15 дней назадRoshan
He hasn’t shown the talent at college? Did you watch him at all? It’s obvious he has talent he just needs a proper coach to develop.
16 дней назадJonathan Leiterman
I think the chargers should sign him see if they can get their moneys worth....he can run and get the tee on kick offs.

I wouldn’t want a ego driven proud leader as my QB. One who is confident in himself is different than egotistically proud boastful. NO! I’d rather go to a good or better team. That’s better than go high to a bad team. How well is Fields doing. And that not him. It’s the team.

If they're shooting for size, Levis is best option. Not to mention arm strength (which u can't coach that Levis has by far)-Those throws u see CJ stepping into to make Levis makes with a flick of the wrist.

68 different QBs starting last year? Means the level is going down.

I love how Ryan Leaf has (finally) acquired some humility and a sense of humor about his situation. I wonder what would have happened if Ryan had been allowed to develop, and mature before being thrown into the mix? Yes, he was a bust, BUT, why was he a bust? Could a coach like Andy Reid have developed him into a superstar?
