This is exactly the route I was hoping the Bears take! I felt defensively they weren’t as bad as it seemed, they just needed glue pieces to connect! Sign a DB LB and a D lineman and add rookies. I believe they only needed 2 actual star signings or hits in the draft to solidify the defense.

I like this deal, putting lots of confidence and money into a young player will definitely give Tremaine the motivation

@Matthew Walsh Milano is the better LB of the 2. They dont have the cap to pay 2 LBs that much money. This shouldn't change your perception of the bills in any way.

Not as sure as some in here mate. Milano is sick but Edmunds has contributed so much to the speed of that D over the last couple of years. Making me think that the Bills may not be as competitive over the next few years as I thought they may have been.

Having the most dangerous Running Back next to Fields would also reduce the number times that Justin Fields has to actually run with the ball, while still representing a threat to defenses as he has the potential to break out into huge, game changing Runs, and this may be the most important reason for the BEARS to seek out the ABSOLUTELY most talented Running Back they can find, , because the Justin Fields that we saw play last season will not physically last to become that hoped for Franchise Quarterback that we can depend on for decades, like an Aaron Rodgers or a Tom Brady. The Best Free Agent Running Back is Saquon Barkley and signing him would also result in making the BEARS possibly the most exciting Team to watch next season, and if Justin Fields comes through and has his Passing Game Breakout Year, the BEARS conceivably could become the Top Scoring Offense in 2023 - That's worth a lot, even if the BEARS miss the playoffs. While it might be smartest for the BEARS to Trade Down from their current No 9 Draft position to get more picks, if they do decide to use their No 9 Draft Pick, I can't think of any Player that would PUMP MORE LIFE into the BEARS than drafting Running Back, Bijan Robinson (currently ranked 7th overall). He is a monstrous threat, not only in his running ability, but his pass catching is so outstanding that he could end up becoming the BEARS Best Pass Receiver, and the vast scope of his abilities would allow the Bears to construct endlessly creative plays to confuse defenses as Bijan Robinson has an unusually advanced talent for creating mismatches all over the field. Having the slipperiest Running Back along side Justin Fields would help loosen up opposing defenses more than any other player the BEARS could Draft.

The Chiefs had Kadarius Toney, MVS, Mecole Hardman and Juju there is no way you could tell me all 4 of those guys wouldn’t have been number one wide receiver on the Ravens. On top of the fact that Mahomes has a better tight end, a better offensive line and arguably the greatest offensive minded coach in NFL History. Lamar’s Injury was a stage 2 borderline stage 3 ankle sprain which is real close to a complete tear of the PCL. Your comparing that to an Ankle Sprain. Lamar could have really “quit on his team” and got surgery to end his season but he decided to rehab it and try to make it back. He also had the leagues WORST strength and conditioning coach which didn’t help. The Ravens literally got an F- in strength and conditioning.

I know they have a lot of cap room but I don't think that means you should just go on a massive spending spree. I kinda like the Giants approach to rebuilding. Draft players, sign the ones that buy into the team long term and fill in the holes with good free agents and build a culture. Jets are doing the same thing. The problem with splash signings is that you buy that player for 4 years and likely won't keep him or if you do it just becomes a bad cycle of overspending and losing your draft picks in Free Agency because you spent too much money on high price free agents.
