They can also lower Nick Bosas cap hit by extending him. So they could be in a good spot cap wise. But they’re probably waiting to make those moves until they get Bosas deal done.

@Bowlman 11 sacks last year was a unique year for him on an excellent defense - and also his contract year. SF is also a great defense so who knows. I think its a great pickup...my only concern is his age, the contract length, and the amount. SF has younger key talent needing to be signed starting next year and curious how that might impact their CAP. I mean McCaffery is going to be a $20m hit next year too - how many $20m players can you have? If Purdy doesn't go down in the Championship game I think SF goes to the SB and wins.
